This story is about something I had built at my house a few summers ago when I was about 14. I had been thinking of getting a tattoo for the longest time. I wanted a tattoo and couldn’t go to a shop for it yet and have it done by a professional, because I wasn’t old enough. So I decided to make my own tattoo-gun at home.
I got the idea for this, because one day I over-heard my mom talking about people doing tattoos in the county jail, where she worked at the time. Then I asked her how they were doing them and what they were using to do them. Then she said they were using something that was called a jail-house-tattoo-gun.
I had then looked-up some planes to make a tattoo-gun on Google. All the things the site happen to name I could find around my house then put together from things I use almost every day.
First I took the motor from a remote-control-car that no one was playing with anymore. Second I took some needles from the sewing kit that I had in my room. Third I got some pens out of my bag to empty the ink from the pens I hadn’t used anymore, then I cut them open to I empty ink from out of them. Forth I cut off a cable from an old game-system, that would work as a power sources. Fifth I went and got some electable-tape that I had in the tool-room to hold everything together. Finally after I got all the parts for it and wired it all together, then I tried it out.
Thing is when I used it I didn’t have the right type of ink for it. Because I wasn’t using tattoo-ink it faded away. There was a better types of inks that I could get from Wal-Mart. The ink was called India-ink what is close to tattoo-ink that doesn’t fade like other inks I can buy from any store. Yet for being 14 I didn’t have the money for the ink. So using pen-ink for a home done tattoo wasn’t the best idea, because the ink started faded away after a week. Then about after a month the ink came out of my skin.
So next time if I’m ever dumb enough to do it again. I’ll make sure I use a better ink for it, like India-ink or something. Or I could just be smart and save up the money for it and get it done at a shop, where I’ll face no risks for infections. I’ll have the benefit of them using new needles instead of using ones I find around my house. Also I would be getting permanent ink put in my skin rather than using pen-ink. The thing is I would have to think about where I would want it, something I that wont regret having on my body, and somewhere I still had the hope of getting a job.
